KENICHI WANI

Born in Cebu in 1985, Kenichi paints life into people with big round heads and solid round eyes. His works, primarily in oil on canvas, reflect his childlike humor and evokes what he describes as cute and eerie. Always whimsical and playful, his style inevitably hints of his Filipino-Japanese background.

 

After graduating from the University of the Philippines Cebu with a Fine Arts degree in Painting, Kenichi takes inspiration from his everyday stimuli and surroundings. Growing up, his interest in the arts heightened and prompted him to focus on painting. Today, Kenichi consistently shows his works in local exhibits and competitions.
